KeSIC is a detailed classification of all economic activities undertaken by establishments in Kenya. It is a product of the domestication of International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC Rev 4) with some modifications to suit the Kenyan specificities and requirements while ensuring international comparability of statistics relating to economic activities.
KeSIC is comparable with ISIC Rev.4 up to the 3-digit groups in totality. The scope of KeSIC is restricted to the classification of units engaged in economic production as defined by System of National Accounts, 2008 (SNA 2008).
